Clarity in decision

I am the Chief Data & Analytics Officer for Asia & Middle East at HSBC as of 1 August 2025. Prior to that I was the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Group Data Technology at HSBC. I am accountable for the global data technology delivery for the bank. This include building and maturing the data products and managing over 3.8k data engineers and associated data platforms globally. Prior to January 2022, I was the Chief Data Officer (CDO) for Asia Pacific at HSBC.

Previously, I worked at Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) for 16.5 years. In 2019, I was the Group Chief Data Officer where I developed the bank’s Data and Analytics Strategy and roadmap to deliver better customer and risk outcomes. I also designed and embedded the foundational enablers of Data Management and supported innovation via AI/ML to enhance customer personalization, risk management, productivity, and business decision-making. Before that, I held other senior roles in CBA such as the General Manager Analytics Strategy & Advisory in Wealth Management and Chief Risk Officer, CommInsure (insurance subsidiary).

On a personal front, I am an Australian married with a daughter I adore. I have lived in Taiwan, Australia and Hong Kong and traveled extensively for work and leisure.
